Enigmatic Variations

Any hints on this please? I am really stuck and have only solved 10 clues. The clues are so weird e.g. 8 ac and 10 ac! I usually manage to solve EVs in a couple of days but this one really defeats me.

8a is a compound anagram, i.e (answer + I'm soppier)* = (animal worshipper)*

10 has an extra letter appearing in the clue, answer ends in "ology" (as that's the "study of" bit)

The two I mentioned are:
8 Potty animal worshipper: "It could be I'm soppier with this big-toothed creature" (7)
.........I have 6th letter A so far
10 Study of what whites are kept in? The study of wine has no end (6)
.........I have nothing on this one!
I just have not got the hang of this puzzle this week!

Thanks jim360. I have worked out 10 ac but still struggling with animal worshipper. Started with zoolatrist (no good) but have come across theriomorphist (getting warmer but still not long enough!).
Also 15a, social theorist's could be Webers and all Scots for base means substituting A for E or B? Group having wings could be Waders but not quite there!
Is it me or is this EV really difficult?

In 8a Potty is an anagram indicator - if you anagram "animal worshipper" and take away "I'm soppier" you will be left with the answer (definition last two words).
You are on the right track with 15 - substitute E for A in a group with wings to get a Social theorist. The answer begins with E..

And yes - it is pretty tough, but well worth persevering

Thanks! I was trying to find a word for 'animal worshipper' wthout noticing that it contains 'I'm soppier' itself! How silly! I am progressing slowly with the rest of it. I am a great fan of EV so will persevere.
