No, but if you really want to stop and don't make excuses for lighting up, you'll stop and it's the most wonderful feeling you've been able to do it. Imagine yourself walking from a grey, smoky, stinky room out into a fresh, snowy, sunny mountain scene.... You'll soon wonder why you didn't do it earlier. Good luck.

I haven't tried accupunture, but I haven't had a cigarette since Tuesday. I've been using Nicorette Microtabs, that you put under the tongue. I'm amazed that I have done this without too much of a bad time, and I feel like I've found a cure to an illness I had. I smoked for 25year buying 60 over two days. I have had alcohol as normal, and two stressful evenings, I know it's early days, but I feel like I'm managing this. Got the microtabs on a quit scheme from the local PCT for 6.50 (months supply) then I get two months for 6.50. The biggest thing is to change the behavioural habit, but because the microtabs stop the physical craving, it's easier to do mind over matter, and change the behaviour. Go for it, even if you don't succeed, you're still closer to giving up, as you will do better next time.Good Luck.
This is to Curiosity. The nicotine craving leaves you after 48 hours, once you've got there you're onto the habit breaking; by taking Nicorette you're giving your body a substitute of cigarettes without actually smoking and so it's more drawn out. Go for the challenge and save yourself money. If you want to stop you will. Good luck!
Thanks lafrancaise, but I decided that if the panic got too much, I would just not do it, and therefore I needed that crutch to even get anywhere, and 13 for 3 month is a lot cheaper!. I have however, only used 15 microtabs per day, even though I'm allowed 40. So I do have in mind that I need to cut down on the actual Nicotine. But hey first things first. The really harmful effects are gone. I do like your snowy sunny mountain scene thing though, cos it does feel like that. I even found myself singing edelweiss today.
my boyfriends mum tried it it was no help for her but hyponotherapy worked insted

i don't think so.smoking is a craving while acupuncture is all about injecting needles up your spine or other parts of your body for temporal relief.

you need determination to actually suppress the mental craving for cigarettes and you could try reducing the quantity of cigarettes consumed daily for starters.
