Split it in half and send 2 emails
There are file splitters and restorers you can download and use.

Alternatively you can upload the file to a site that hosts and send the link to your recipient so they can download it.
Mail big file

or

You send it

Both are free

How do I do that ? Sorry if I sound thick !
Just send two emails, jasmin26.
Google them and you will get a link to them.

You upload your file, add the address of who you are sending it to, they then get an email with a link to download the file.

That is a BIG file. The time sounds about right to me.
Question Author
will it take as long for them to open it ?
I chose 'sendspace' (www.sendspace.com) - 100% successful for me whenever I used it and free too!
It will depend on their broadband speed

I have a lot of trouble opening zip files. One solution is to store the file in a cloud location, then send them the location (access is usually granted for a number of hours/days) - your recipient can then go to that site and download the file.
^ like my post above yours...
