Has anyone got today's Daily Mail?

On the front, Katherine Jenkins says she sleeps with her eyes open.

Obviously I didn't buy the paper, but I wondered...

Is she speaking figuratively? ... like she's always on her guard?

Or does she mean literally? ... like, she sleeps with her eyes OPEN?

Because that would be weird.

Could you imagine waking up in bed with her, and she's lying there with her eyes open???

Cripes alive!!

/// Mamya, I think you're allowed to look at x articles in the Telegraph for as long as you want but when you get to x+1 they want you to register. But if you clear out your cookies you start again from zero. ///

I thought that you had cracked it for me, so I went into Internet Options and deleted cookies, web searches, etc. but all to no avail.
I don't know what the problem is, then. I've never had any trouble looking at Telegraph articles. I think Gromit (who I believe reads the Telegraph) made the same suggestion recently. Might be worth a separate question somewhere, in News or Technology maybe.

Thanks I will give it a try.

Been out for lunch.

So where were we? Oh, yes, Katherine Jenkins needs to sing in an actual opera.

I'm not sure that Viva La Diva really counts.

KJ is a mezzo, isn't she. I suppose the three mezzo roles that I think would suit KJ well, are ...

Rosina (in The Barber of Seville)

Carmen (in, err, Carmen)

Angelina (in La Cenerentola)

Is she sultry enough to play Carmen? She should try. Rosina is probably the easiest of those roles. She'd definitely make a brilliant Angelina. She looks just right.

And, to throw in a couple of curve balls, and perhaps expose my slight Wagner bias, how about ...

Adriana (in Rienzi) ... a really gorgeous role

Amneris, in Aida

Until she has a go at an actual opera role, I think she should call herself an operatic singer, rather than an opera singer.

Maybe that's why she sleeps with her eyes open. She's picturing herself singing Carmen.
Re: The Telegraph. As I understand it, you get access to 20 free articles per month free. After that, the firewall comes up, suggesting you might want to subscribe.

I am sure something like clearing out cookie history might work, but I am not technically savvy enough to figure it out ;)
JJ, she is not an opera singer, that would be the likes of Dame Kiri De Kanawa and Luciano Pavarotti, she does sing arias from operas as others have said. personally i can't stand her or her voice, far too overstretched, as to sleeping with eyes open i have known someone who did that, it's quite odd, but not uncommon.
