Fibreglass Roof Domes??

Hi all,we have just had a survey on a property and the surveyor has found 3 "dome" like lumps on the fibreglass roof of a sun room,we are racking our brains to work out what these are and its too late to ring the surveyor and ask him,any ideas welcome,thanks.

Bit of guesswork here Prendi. Perhaps these are read-made fibreglass panels, and the "gel coat" has come away from the glass mat. Gel coat is the first coat placed in the mould ...... the one that becomes the face side.

More likely ....... you simply have the fibreglass alternative to the old pitch & felt covering.
Such a covering is simply applied over a plywood deck, as you would with felt. If so, it does sound as though the last coat of polyester resin has blistered and lifted. If it has separated from the mat, then it's un-reinforced, so it will eventually crack and leak.

It most likely needs attention....... or replacing.
