I have an old panasonic digibox which needs replacing but for reasons I won't go into, I cannot buy a new one yet. Now it is not possible to reboot this one at all. Any ideas. I go into Services, press 4, then 01 which than brings up Picture settings and not Installers menu, so cannot install manually and save new settings. It's driving me mad as I have to wait about 9 hrs for it to reboot itself. Any ideas Please!!!!!

Thank you peanut that's a very handy site to know about.
I found this as well..

Simply "Sevices", then "4" "Select", then "0" "1" "Select" (DO NOT PRESS "Select" between the "0" and "1") you are now in the "Installers Menu"
...don't press "Select" between the "4" and "1" either.

The correct sequence to access the Installer Setup is

Sevices → 4 → 0 → 1 → Select

but that is just what I cannot do, when I press 01 before I can even select, up comes Picture settings, if I manage to select then I get Sky help. There's just no way I can get up the Installers menu, but it's rebooted itself after 10hrs. That's all I can do. Thanks for help.
You could try this to reinstall the system software on the box:
Turn off the box at the mains and hold in the backup button (on the box itself not on the remote). Then while holding in the backup button turn on the mains power. The box will then display a black screen with white writing that says something along the lines of updating software this may take 15 mins... (sorry i dont remember exactly what it says).
This process forces the box to download the latest system software via the dish.
Hope it helps.

Thanks londonpaul I've done all that. Anyway we are now going to buy a new Pace box, but as we live abroad we'll have to cancel old subscription and get a new one over here (all cloak and dagger) but it's the only solution.
