I know you can't use "adult" instant gravy granules for baby due to salt content etc. but can you buy special gravy for babies? Any help would be great. I work full time with a 5 year old and twins of nearly 9 months so don't really have time to make it myself very often. Thx.

Hi Gracemily. Yes you can get baby gravy , or at least as far as I am aware you can still get it. My youngest child has just turned 1 and I used baby gravy on his food out of convenience a lot of the time when I was harrassed. I used to get Milupa baby gravy and I know that Boots stocked baby gravy but you don't really see it around a lot. If you live in the UK , do you have a Moss pharmacy where you live ? The reason why I ask is because my branch don't stock it any more due to low demand but will order it in for anyone who asks. It may be worthwhile asking your local chemist if they will order it in for you as the big high street stores may fob you off if they don't have it. They also stocked cheese sauce for babies which gives you a bit of a choice in flavours for baby - or at least as much flavour as you can get for processed baby food. The baby gravy doesn't resemble gravy at all and looks rather unappealling (more of a thick orangey gloop) but at least it gives you peace of mind that you are not damaging your baby's kidneys by overloading their plate with salty gravy. Good luck , I hope you find it x
yes you can buy it. Boots stock it as far as im aware
Ive seen it in Sainsburys in the last 12 months.
i used a small weak amount of bisto when weaning my three children and I have nannied to over 8 children during the past 20 years and never worried about buying special gravy. personally i wouldnt worry about it, use milk to wet the food if you have to otherwise dont use anything at all.
Hi yes you can buy the Milupu as prevously posted, but I found it very gloopy, try putting a small amount of marmite in boiling water.

I wouldn't worry too much about salt in your children's diet. As long as you don't cook with salt, cover the plate with salt and then add a salty gravy you should be OK. After all, how much gravy do you put on their plates anyway?

I agree that marmite in some boiling water worked very well for my boys when they were small and is a lot quicker than making 'real' gravy, but it's still quite salty so be careful how much you use.

I was quite shocked to see your question! Can you buy "Baby Gravy",

I don't want to offend you or anyone reading this thread but "baby gravy" is a slang word used in the Navy to describe semen! My first thought was any men in the Navy would give it to you free.

yes i used to buy cow and gate baby gravy from boots
