I had a CT scan last Wednesday at the hospital as a few weeks ago I had blood in my urine. Had a letter this morning from them to say that I have an appointment booked on the 15th September at the Urology clinic.

Any idea what they will do, or will they tell me the results?

The reason I ask, is because they told me they would inform my doctor of the results.

You will get a Camera up your willy into your Bladder to see if there are any tumors. I've been there, done that and it is not as bad as it sounds.Good Luck.
Forgot to mention, they told me result straight away.

I had that done about 3 weeks ago everhelpful and the consultant said my bladder was normal.
Results of many hospital tests tend to be available after you have left, and normal practice is to pass them on to your GP who usually won't tell you a thing unless you chase him up for information, or something that needs sorting has been found.
I doubt very much that they will do anything "intrusive" without first discussing the problem with you.

I would think that the appointment would be to give you the results of the scan and then discuss the next stage, if indeed there is to be one.

If it was serious squad, wouldn't they give me a quicker appointment?
Yes, I must say that if there was any suggestion of malignancy, your appt would certainly be expedited.
yes i had all these test as everhelpful said (not the willy though)they told me results straight away that iwas one of those people with blood in their urine ,they couldn't find anything wrong anywhere else .ps you lose your dignity but it didnt hurt
If he's going to test your prostate, it will be a finger up he bum, I had it done a month ago, not a problem. Good luck.
i have had my bladder checked every year for 9 years, and they tell you straight away if anything is shown up concerning tumours etc.

I was told as I stated in my second reply post that I had had the camera up my willy that my bladder was ok and the first scan taken at the same time just showed a cyst on my left kidney which I was told there was nothing to worry about. Its the second deep scan I had last week that I have had no results for, just another appointment next week at the Urology clinic.
Question Author
I also had a blood test last week at the same time for my prostrate.
What kind of scan was the first scan?

Ultrasound? X
Question Author
Yes tinkerbell with the jelly etc, but the guy said he would like to see a deeper scan so I had the one where you slide through a big polo mint.
