Hi all,

No, they were discontinued in 2010. They just send a letter now.
She'll need to keep the number somewhere safe. I had to search half the house for a letter with mine on it. I was filling in the form to be entered on the electoral roll.

Funny thing those numbers, I worked for thirty years and could never remember the bloody thing.I was made redundant and within a week it was engraved across my mind.

haha I know mine off by heart too Paddy but still have my little card somewhere. I was just worried when hers hadn't turned up that it may have been stolen or something... but apparently not!

My daughter got a card last month and my son got one 18 months ago.

Oh that's interesting Pixie, I'll get her to give them a ring to check, I hate to think of these things being lost in transit so to speak.

Were those National insurance number cards, Pixie, or those EHIC cards?
My apologies. I have just checked. My son has an actual National Insurance card two years ago. My daughter's last month was just a letter stating NI number. Sorry! X
