Gentlemen: This question is for you, and no sarcasm, please. What is the best way/approach, without scaring a guy, to let him know you want this to be a relationship instead of just a friendship. His friend, also mine, tells me he needs a little nudging, that he is slow when it somes to these things. Looking forward to hearing from you...

personally...you have anwered your own question..tell him.

If he's not interested in a relationship, there is no reason to stay as friends...good luck.

sorry..i meant..there is no reason "not" to stay friends.

There are a number of body language signals you can send which, even as a man who is slow to notice, he will see. If he doesn't react, he may not be interested, but it's worth a try -

Hold eye contact and smile. Sit close to him. Touch him gently for a little longer than is casual, on his arm or leg. Stand close to him, touching him if possible. When you say good night adter an evening out, look him in the eys and lean towards him with your lips slightly parted.

If these don;t work, he is either really really shy, or so inexperienced he doesn't read the signs, or he is not interested, any of which mean he is just going to be your friend.

Let us know how you get on.

Thank you andy-hughes. I'll keep you posted.

Just tell him! If he's anything like me he won't realize any subtle signs.

But say it when he's on his own and not in front of his mates, he may not want to appear 'sensitive' in front of them, and chances are they will rip it out of him.

But also don't make it a big thing by saying "there's something I've been meaning to tell you...." That would scare me. Keep it cool and casual but make sure you don't sound like your not that bothered.

Good luck-Be Positive-Let us know!

I'd definately go for the 'just tell him' approach. Us men aren't that good at picking up subtle signals. If it scares him off then it probably wasn't meant to be anyway.

Thank you ludwig. I agree. Thanks for your input.
Although I've been married twice I have never been able to see what a girl wanted even if it hit me in the face at 100 miles an hour. If you haven't done it yet just tell him, and I hope all goes well good luck to you or hopefully both of you
