Can someone tell me if Hurghada is in Sinai? Any ideas on weather in March, restaurants, etc? Many thanks. If it is in Sinai, I don't have to pay for the Visa. Same happened last year in Sharm although "not a lot of people know this" - if you only go to Sinai, not mainland Egypt - pyramids, etc. you don't have to pay around 20 for the visa, when you arrive at airport. They just mark your passport 'Sinai only' and don't put a stamp in it.

Hurghada is not part of Sinai- it is on the East coast of "mainland" Egypt

Well, it's not, but that's already cleared up, I guess...

In Hurghada you have to pay for visa.

I was in Safaga (about an hour south of Hurghada) twice, once in October and once in April.

Both times the weather was lovely, around 25C.

Just a little windy.
