Does anyone know that New Age classical band who were chucked out of the classical charts for being too radical? They use electric violins etc.

The band in question is bond (they spell it without a capital B). Their debut album Born was released in October 2000, and entered the Classical Chart at No 2. One week later CIN (Chart Information Network) said that their review copy of the album had arrived too late to be properly assessed, and that on reflection the album had been deemed a pop record - and was therefore ineligible for the Classical Chart. Cue much media hype - and an explanation from CIN that their criteria involve music composed by recognised classical composers, played in a classical style; the bond album failed on both counts. Hence their exclusion.
