To those users who are having problems posting questions but can *answer* without trouble - have you recently downloaded the Google PopupStopper? It apparently comes with the new Google Toolbar v2. This may be preventing you posting questions - could you let us know if this might be the solution?

Yes Ed. I've done that recently. I'll delete it and then tell you if I'm up and running again.
Well, well, well. I've disabled Google's pop up stopper and lo and behold have been able to post a question.
Now I've posted my question the pop up stopper is going back on to stop the annoyance of the pop up on this site.
I have just (in the last couple of weeks) upgraded to AOL 8.0, which includes a pop up stopper. I have just switched it off and lo and behold, I can now post. So its obviously the same sort of thing Ed. I'll just disable it when I want to do a post.
There we go then....just got PopSwatter.....thanks for the info ED....I'll knock it off if i want to post a question.
Naughty Answerbank. Since lots of sites prostitute themselves to the DREADFUL advertising use of the pop up and pop under the legitimate use for this HTML device can not continue. This device has now been totally devalued and is virtually universally ignored by the eagerly downloaded pop-stoppers of which Google Toolbar is only one. Answerbank should change its question posing routine to avoid use of the pop up code.
I'm using a Panic-ware pop up stopper, and each time I want to submit a question, I just have to press control as I click the submit button, and the window will come up. I thought most pop up stoppers had this kind of function. I know it only takes a few seconds to disable, and enable again, but it must be a pain for you to have to keep doing that.
