I used bleach and water and it came off. Room must be well ventilated. Sounds daft but cover your head with something, wear old clothes and cover the flooring- whatever it is or the bleach will discolour it, remove all things if you can! scrubbing brush is good to use, oh and make sure your sleeves are tight at the wrists-bleach running down your arms is awful...good luck :)

Probably a stupid question but won't that take all the paint off?!?!?! And what can I do to stop it coming back? The room is very well ventilated! Thank you!

I had a patch on my bathroom ceilling about the size of a dinner plate, and kept looking at it every time when i layed back in the bath and thought to myself, thats got to go. Anyway i did eventually get round to it about 2 months ago, and i've just checked and its still gone. Method- 4 sheets of scrunched up kitchen roll with a couple of squirts of mildew remover (just enough to moisten) and gently rubbed it away, and so far so good..

When i said "ventilated " i meant when you use the bleach..lol, the paint didnt come off, and the mould spots havent returned, the bleach kills the spores in the mould.
