How Do You Feel When

How do you feel when you go out and leave your mobile phone at home.? I feel as if my hands have been cut off. Can't concentrate in case I need it when in car. When I go out I stand at the door saying to myself doors locked keys and mobile.

We gave up mobiles a while ago when we moved in together and no longer had the need for two phones. Neither of us had land lines so our mobiles were important. They are now used as cameras and alarms ! I thought I would miss it more than I actually have, it is liberating not to have one.

Hi Boxtop it is only as I live on my own that the kids need me to make sure I have it with me all the time.

I used to feel like that about my watch before I first got a mobile. I never forget my mobile but I sometimes forget to charge it. Luckily we have a charger at work so I can get at least 10 minutes worth of charging to last me the rest of the day.

I would be lost without my mob.

I hate it when i leave mine at home and pick it up at the earliest opportunity. I have four children, three of them teenagers, who are generally out and about and have their own mobiles. It would worry me if they couldn't get hold of me if they needed to. My number is also used by my Homecare clients, who have rung before to say they've fallen, can't get up; can i get milk on way over, etc. Also, i work with my sister, who may need to get hold of me/ need her children picking up from school or something.
I do feel uncomfortable without it, but looking at what I've just written, is more for other people's benefit than my own.
