OK its about time. I want to get an iPhone. I have a 'normal' mobile Nokia at the moment. I want something easy to use, to make calls easily obviously, good camera, battery lasting a fair while, what would you recommend? I have an Orange contract phone, at the moment I am paying £15 per month and don't want to spend a lot more ... also do I need to take out any insurance in case it breaks?? Any advice gratefully received, I have never used an iPhone and am not technical at all .. thanks all.

my daughter tells me that they use the internet weither you want to or not ,it seems they perform 'background' tasks so be sure that you do have some internet deal attached to your packafe ( if you pardon the expression) as on line service is expsie.
I have had a few smart phones, I dont buy into all the hype and the cool, I base my choice on ease of use and utilities, the htc and the samsung have the appropriate utilities however I found with the htc I frequently had to turn off everything to ensure my battery lasted, shame really because the moving backgrounds are very nice. I found the samsung better but still fiddly when navigating and the very annoying battery draining issue. I ended up with an iphone, not because it was cool but because it was simple to use and the battery life is pretty good.
you can disable that on your phone nannybooby.
Android (owned by Google) is the way forward. Your grand-children will be using the google search engine on their android phones to find out what an Apple Iphone was...... have a google yourself and see how many different android phones are available (100+?) compared to Apple's offering.

Excuse my ignorance and thanks for all your advice. So are you saying that you have to pay extra for Broadband? As I say, I want to make calls, text and use the camera but probably for internet as well. Monthly contract. Thanks again !
