One of my favourite books is:- 'He dared to believe', by Jean Rees. It's the life story of Ernest Luff.
I'd go for Jane Eyre too.
Lord of the Rings
Writing Home by Alan Bennett.
So many but I suppose Gone with the wind is my most fav
When I'm 'between books', I suppose the one I pick up most frequently is Pride and Prejudice.
Like Craft, Jane Eyre.
Oh, and like Naomi as well.

My very absolutest best book ever is '' The Matarese Circle'' by Robert Ludlum.
I am still desperately waiting for the movie to be made & released.

Just kidding. There are loads of books that I have liked a lot, but none particuarly that I would read more than once in say 5-10 years - thats my assumption of 'favourite' in the OP.
Lord of the Rings used to be my most read book but now I would plump for Pride and Prejudice as my favourite

"Emma" by Jane Austen
"Little Women" by Teresa M Alcott
"BFG" and "The Twits" by Roald Dahl

These a a few of the books I can read over and over again.
The one that springs to mind immediately is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
All three of the Lord of the Rings trilogy
Memoirs of a Geisha - Arthur Gold ?
