Fixing the glass on a wing mirror

The little darlings up the road from me entertained themselves by pulling the glass off my wing mirror from my 10 year old Nissan Micra. Ordered some more from the nice Nissan man, Dad looked at it, said looks like it just clips in and put it on for me. Went home all happy as could see again, then it flew off after I went round the roundabout and was run over by the one other person on the road. As I'm about to fork out another 15, is there a way of making it more secure next time?

Double sided tape. Works fine.

Get some of the Silicon sealer used for bathrooms or aquariums etc... read the label and you might see that it also says sealer/adhesive, this stuff sticks like s**t to glass and plastics etc.. and is waterproof.
Just put put a load on the back of the mirror before fitting it, the only thing is it takes a few hours to ''set'' so do it last thing at night and if in doubt hold it with some tape overnight.

Don't get it on your clothes it is difficult to remove but comes off your skin easy with friction.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately when the little darlings took the mirror, they took the mirror, I have no idea what they did with it, so have no nice pieces of glass to attack them with! The next week, they then went on to pull the driver's door handle off my housemate's ford Fiesta... The police are on first name terms with most of them, just have made note to avoid parking near that house.
