I put a question on earlier but it is not there; unless, it became an answer to another question!

Let me try again: I am doing a survey, just for fun, to see how many of you can think of the names of gods, goddesses, nymphs, divine heroes etc in the pantheon of all ancient religions before the rise of Christianity and Islam? Can you do it without looking at a book or the internet?

I will start you off with one: Kubaba, originally the local goddess of Carchemish - Hurrian/Hittite religion.

Have fun. And thanks in advance.

Good question, Boxtops. But I did say that it was just for fun, than the usual why are such and such, such and such, when such and such is better. I do like the god of the winds, very funny, But thank you all for replying, I have to give best answer to the one I think deserves it the most, although you all derserve the award, that person being rowanwitch. Thanks all again for playing along.
