To be honest I had no idea what they were until I visited a visitors centre where there was lots of info on these amazing birds.

Anyway, badgers live underground and they aren't boring.
Not boring at all...I badger watch at Rutland.....the hide...the badgers and a flask of....well.......a lovely night out. x
They Re-introduced Red Kites in south oxon, always see them as I make my way up the A34 between Newbury and Didcot, they Look amazing (far from boring), alas down here on the south coast we only seem to have seagulls the size of small dogs but with the capacity to cr@p like a great dane! (usually on my car!)
Tilly, boring, as in digging holes. :)
This is the bit of (rather wonky) video that gness mentioned earlier.

I took it with my happy-snappy camera when they were feeding the Red Kites at the Bwlch Nant yr Arian centre (the pictures get better about 30 seconds into the clip).

Yup!
Don't worry Tilly, no-one will notice. Well maybe some will. :)
You did, doc.
I have just been looking at the Rutland Water webcam and I feel sick. It's like being on a boat!
Lovely clear pictures of the nest though.
