The guy that plays the the DCI (I think it's DCI - it's what Taggart himself used to be) actually played a murderer in the early series of Taggart with Mark McManus.

Both Scottish.Is Louise Beattie not part of the Scottish Beattie Dynasty.Maureen,who had the most amazing piercing blue eyes.I think played a nurse in Casualty for years

Re: the DCI, I didn't know that...As for Louise Beattie, I thnk she has a sister who is also an actress. there is or was a commedian called Johnny Beattie,I don't know if ther is any connection...
