Out of interest, having seen some of the threads about of late, have you ever personally experienced or witnessed legal justice being done?

I think justice was done in the Philpott trial and I thought the judges summing up was incredibly sensible and well thought out.

Just re-read the post and realised that you asked about personal experience but I've typed my answer now and I ain't changing it!
Would you care to expand on that knobby?
About 30 years ago,I was done for drink-drive. No complaints; the court had limited powers, so any miscarriage was unlikely on a guilty plea. I think that was legal justice :)

I used to see it every Monday to Friday and only twice did I think the man should not have been convicted by the jury and there were no grounds for appeal. In both cases the judge was sympathetic, and the man didn't serve an extra day in jail. I always suspected that he thought the man was unlucky too.
only work-related.. although I've sat in on loads of other hearings waiting for mine to come up.
