Would appreciate some advice on my siberian huskie .... he has started to steal things out of the house and running off into the garden with them to tear them to pieces ... anything from tissue to crisp packets etc . Today he managed to eat half a pound of butter that he stole from the kitchen. We try our best to make sure that food is not left out in the kitchen but its te other things that he has started to pinch.

Probably feeling bored. My dogs do this when they are high in energy and being ignored. It's a form of attention seeking and a way of inviting you to play. One of my dogs took out every shoe and slipper he could find in the house outside one day when we were occupied in the garden! Tissues and crisp packets are a favourite.

hello. You posted this ages ago so probably won't even read this - but anyway.... My Alaskan Malmute does the same (even stole butter the other day - I bitter sprayed the bits that weren't in her mouth and she dropped it)

I hope yours has now grown out of this - even though they look SO proud of themselves when they've got treasure!!!!
