hi there


i have just brought a gasaline green house heater and as i am new to it all got a heater that said for greenhouse, but i find it is leaving black soot all over everything,can you help,also about the smell.

Gasaline ?, Did you mean Gasoline, as in petrol (UK) Or is it a paraffin heater, if its the latter it could be that the wick needs trimming or turning down a bit..
Yes to the above, the wick is the piece of textile like material which the flame comes from, this should/must be adjustable by a rotating small handle on the side of the heater which makes it go up and down, you have to move it up to light it when it will burn with a yellow smoky flame and then move it down until the flame is small and blue and makes no smoke.
If your new heater was made overseas, they may recomend the US fuel type ie kerosene = paraffin (UK)
