about six months ago I noticed small hard lumps in the palms of my hands (not on the palms but boney lumps in the palms) didn't think too much about them and put it down to a bit of arthritis - but things have got worse and there is now a definite swollen line from the middle of the base of my hand going outwards towards the little finger on both hands. Also my hands feel hot, tingly, itchy and swollen. I do a lot a very physical work (for my age!!! - late 60's) and am thinking could this be carpel tunnel syndrome or the one where the fingers contact towards the palm (Duryens or something like that) - am reluctant to google anything as a lot of the info can be alarming. Many thanks

It is neither Carpal Tunnel syndrome OR Dupuytrens contracture.

They are Rheumatic nodules.

Stop Googling and see your GP at your leisure........no urgency.
