my bettery light keeps coming on. its a new battery and new altinater so its not them... any ideas thanks

Does it flicker, or permanently on?

Why not return to the garage and ask them to look, presuming you paid to have them fitted?

Could be a very slipping fan belt, sense wire off the alternator, or a faulty alternator. Just because it's new doesn't mean it's working.
