And another 'right-wing' paper won newspaper of the year.

/// The Times was named newspaper of the year. ///

sp1814 - How dare you accuse the Daily Mail of not checking or researching the stuff they print !!

lol, they don't even proof read their articles.
And let's not forget this jaw-dropper:

http://www.themediablog.co.uk/the-media-blog/2013/01/daily-mail-turns-the-creepiness-up-a-notch.html

Seriously...

I mean...SERIOUSLY!!!!!
FYI...the story is about an eight year old child.
if you also look many of the readers have criticised them for doing so...
aog, do you seriously think that The Times is a right-wing paper? Or does your use of quotation marks mean that you don't, but you think that people in general would so describe it ?
"It continuously amazes me that some who regularly criticise and insult the Mail and it's journalists, are soon to take advantage of it's web site if some story happens to support their own particular agenda."

If you want to make a point about the Daily Mail (such as criticizing it), it makes sense to use evidence from the Daily Mail itself - and the most accessible form for sharing it with members of AB is the website.

Nothing 'amazing' about it. :/
...yes and PLEASE drop that apostrophe from "it's"!
AOG, unfortunately, it has been quite a while since the DM won anything other than minor awards.

Yes, don't you?

Your link is copyright British Expat Ltd, aog. That might be a clue to the ignorance in it.

I take it you don't actually read The Times. If you did, you would find it determinedly neutral and balanced. It is also free of cheap tricks like using hyperbole and emotive language; it did use 'outrage' the other week to describe hundreds of angry tweets but we might see that as borderline or justified. The Daily Mail would have 'outrage' for two statements, one of which was only expressing concern.
