I've had the same hairstyle for 12 years - it is straight and just below the shoulders. I am thinking of having it lopped off and having a shortish choppy style (not dead short though). Any thoughts or suggestions?

Dear fiasco - remember I am from Yorkshire and I baulk at that figure.

I don't want to bankrupt you - something around the £5K mark will do

Will see how one coat looks Tony.
Someone needs to keep The Builder here.....he takes MrsO's mind off us. x
Good idea gness, show him your tassel.
Tony, what are you offering?
psybbo tell me what you would like ?.
to see your tassel?

No thanks.
Tony has a tassel, DT? Who would have thought it?
Not me.
Don't do it! I'm now trying to grow mine after having it really short for about a year, it used to be below my shoulders. I am thinking of buying that shampoo that is supposed to accelerate hair growth because it's currently at that horrible stage where I can't do anything with it :(
I reckon it depends upon how old you are Mrs.o. An old person with long hair does not look right to me so I have mine cut very short and all I do to it every morning and whenever I want to tidy it is run a comb through it. I also think an old person with tinted hair looks wrong so I have let mine go a snowy white (or platinum blonde if you like). But then I am nearly 86 so there is some reason. If you are young then stay young for as long as you can by fair means or foul. Tint it, or whatever it takes to stay looking youthful. I know I did until it got ridiculous.
Star, she's ancient, must be all of 45 but in real ters 80, I reckon
I couldn't give you suggestions other than keep it long. I have always had long hair and would never cut it, I did have it cut in a long type "bob" in the 1970s but soon grew it again as I immediately regretted it.
Go for a basin cut and dye it purple!
do it. I had mine cut off about 10 years ago....its wonderful and I never want to grow it again....if you look at it and hate it, you can grow it again.
I do hope she doesn't revisit this, scared now
