transfering files via data cable

I have the panasonic vs6, and have recently bought a data cable for it, i am actually waiting for it to transfer a mp3 file from my computer as i type, only 20 seconds long to use as a ringtone, my question is how long does this usually take, as i have been sat here now for ages! i have set it all up ok, it said that it had transferred the data on my monitor, yet it is still saying data transferring on my phone screen!


Hope someone can help?

It should take no more than about 10 - 15 seconds to transfer such a small file. Presumably the file is about 400kb in size?
