Daren't even think about their bathroom issues.
if i remember correctly, the bathroom has a toilet, and shower in the same small space, but the shower has no curtain, it hangs from the ceiling, and the bed is barely accessible, no room to walk.
because they have to. i lived in one small room (not disimilar to those in the artcle) with my hubby and small son for 3 years because we could not afford anything else. it's not fun, but at least you have a roof (i have also been street homeless as well, so am glad for any type of housing). i just didn't have anywhere near as much crap! :-)
Crikey and I thought my daughter's room share in HK was small! She lives in the lap of luxury according to this.
horrible.
We have to ask ourselves is this a sign of things to come in this country with over-population,immigration levels and lack of housing!!
You`ve only got to see the density of the population in HK versus the living space to not be surprised that people live like that. The older apartments have such tiny windows that people can only dry their clothes by sticking a horizontal pole out of the window to hang them on. Maybe if people saw how the other half live, they wouldn`t moan about life in the UK so much.
