Afrika Bambaataa... have had a look on Amazon some cds on there :) hope this helps

The expression 'ground breaking' is a little overused but Planet Rock by Africabambata is the definitive record of it time.
Looking for the perfect beat should be easy to find on compilations and there is a 'best of' aswell..
Tapes? Cortina? 80's Electro? You dont have blond highlights and an earring aswell do you?
I agree with Gary and i think Afrika Bambaata is an absolute ledgend and is a Hip Hop God whom without Hip Hop might not have been as brilliant as it was. There is a CD that will cover all your needs and is called PLANET ROCK and is on the TOMMY BOY label and has all of the hits on it and sells for around 12.99 im not sure if you would find it in HMV etc but Juno Records on-line stock it. Glad you like some of the classic electro stuff my favourite is Planet Patrol's - Play at your Own risk - Excellent tune!! Good luck with that!

Try to track down 'World Destruction' by 'Time Zone' - Its only a 7'' vinyl record, but that was a very under rated track, and that featured Afrika Bambataa and John Lydon ! Interesting combination.

Is this the same Timezone who did Wildstyle? When did that get released then as John Lydon was involved was it quite recent?
