LibDem Manifesto 2010:
// We will increase Police number by 10,000 in the next five year. //

And todays news...

// Since 2010 police numbers have fallen by 10,000 while the population has increased by more than one million.
There are now fewer police officers in England and Wales than at any point in the last 10 years and MPs warned the decline was faster than predicted. //

On a more serious note, should the police be subject to the same cuts as everyone else? Is upholding law and order hampered by 10,000 less bobbies?

Sorry, typo there. First quote should read

// We will increase Police number by 3,000 in the next five year. //
Er, what does a policeman look like? Can't remember seeing one for years. Do they still exist? Seem to remember seeing some people in funny jackets
walking in pairs. Not seen them either for a year or so.
For me, the cuts have gone nowhere near far enough. I'd cut the Metropolitan Police staffing, for example, by around 70%. (I've seen peaceful protest marches, consisting of around 1000 people, supervised by fewer than 10 police officers here in Suffolk, whereas the Met allocate several hundred officers to the same task. They're clearly vastly overstaffed!)
Nick Clegg. You have to laugh, don't ya?
What's the crime rate done.

Oh, it's come down.
Buenchico, we don't seem to have protest marches here. We do have stabbings, burglaries, drug related attacks and muggings. Would one policeman on view be one too many?

People have stopped reporting crimes because they know it is pointless, no one will visit them and no one will ever be caught. I was the victim of a crime last year and the Police said they would come and get my statement. I took a day off work and they never came. Not that day, not ever.
A rather cynical view based of a statistically sampled population of one there.

Impressive, I must say.
You seem to base your politics on broken promises, apart from Labour that is. I can not believe you actually believe in manifesto garbage, especially from midgets who will never have to implement them.
