Atkins dilema

I am doing the atkins only for about a month or two, I still am not noticing any change to my weight on day 4, I have tried atkins before and didnt notice any change, i dont understand why not, I work nights and used to have a low bllod sugar craving in the early hours, this has now gone and not having major crving for sugar now, but cant see why this isnt working. Any advise or useful websites would help, thank you

I did Atkins for about six months last year and lost 2.5 stone. it is very common to have periods where you don't lose weight. (known as 'Plateauing'). The important thing to remember about Atkins is to drink PLENTY of water, and make sure you eat enough. if you skip meals or reduce fat intake it will not work.  I am on it again now as but am finding it very difficult to keep to this time as I get bored of it now where I didn't before. Make sure you keep enough of the 'Atkins 'type of food in or you will be reaching for the chocolate tin!

Remember also that the scales do not always represent what is going on in your body.  You may be losing inches and lowering your blood cholesterol. Don't get too obsessed by actual weight loss!

have you tried a more conventional diet rather than a fad diet? tbh a more complete breakdown is in order.

The fastest way to go off a diet is to live on the scales. Only weigh yourself once a week!

Ive followed the Atkins principle for about a year, and maintained my weight for the 1st time, I,m 46. have now worked out what I can and cant eat, some carbs better than others, white breads a no no, and very few potatoes and pasta passes my lips. I still eat a little chocolate now and again cos I love it, and still drink loads of black coffee for the same reason.
Klinedancer - is coffee an isseu then, shouldn't you drink it on atkins?? always have it black without...
