Looking to take my entertainment, broadband, digital media etc etc to the next level. Anyone got any good ideas on entertainment servers for storing and then distributing digital media?

I have no experience of these, but a magazine I have about digital technology mentions a device called Philips SL400I Digital Media Adapater which seems to do most of what you want.


There is also the Netgear Wireless Digital Music Player MP101 but this seems to only do music.

also think about an Apple setup.

the mac mini can store all your music and video, and will happily output it to a screen, or just to speakers.

get some AirPort Express routers, and you can easily connect them to speaker systems, and control them from the mac mini.
