On green days you could try cous cous with some veg in. For red days you could try sweet potato, but as it was so long ago that i did slimming world i cant remember if it is free!
In the US we are on the South Beach diet and Weight Watchers diet. What is this color coded diet that you Brits talk about so often in answerbank? Is it in writing somewhere?

me0905 i am a weight watcher myself, best thing ever! for info on slimming world try this link

it basically means you seperate your carbs from your proteins and on red days eat as much protein as you like, they are deemed 'free' foods, and on green days you can have as many carbs as you want.

My mum lost 7 stone on this plan and we ran a class with varying sucsess, it certainly didnt work for me as i lost and gained the same 10lb throughout!

my wife and I have been on the slimming world diet for about a year now and for green days we either have a rice dish or some grilled vegatables which are great if you've got one of them george forman grills, likes of onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes. try it i was well impressed . stuffed grilled peppers with cous cous is a good one to

Mashed swede is good instead of potato and is free on red days. Add a little freshly ground pepper and some quark if you like it creamier.

Have you tried rice on a green day? Veggie risotto? Or try bulgar (cracked wheat), couscous, or quinoa. Quinoa can be found in most health food shops and is very very good for you.

Use bulgar wheat instead of soya mince when making a veggie chilli - it is similar in texture but has very little flavour of its own, so you'd need to add marmite or stock to it when you rehydrate it.

I did Slimming World a few years ago and lost 2 stone. I remember getting sick of pasta and Quorn. However, have you tried Cauldron Foods vegetarian sausages? The Cumberland ones are about 1 sin each, or something. They are SO nice, and make a real change. They are quite like normal sausages, nothing like the plasticky Quorn ones. You can have them like normal, but I remember chopping them up and having them with rice and salad, or even in veg curry!! (Sounds gross- was nice!)
