Difficulty in streaming

I am having great trouble streaming certain radio stations. on some days I can connect straight away-then on others I have to give it up as a bad job after about an hour of trying. I have two computers(Windows XP & ME) - both behave the same-grateful for any ideas

I think it depends on how many other people are doing it at the same time. Some stations limit the amount of people who comnnect whilst some just let the quality drop. Also broadband is much better than dial up for streaming.

Many Thanks for your help - We do have broadband - we will try contacting the radio station and see if they have any suggestions.
