I am trying to trace William Henry Stone who married Rosa Annie White in London in 1894. On ancestry I've found their bans being called but the marriage itself is missing from the records on ancestry. I really want details of this marriage so I can confirm who their parents are. Although I am fairly sure I've got their parents, I want to confirm it.

Can anyone suggest anywhere I might find full details of the marriage online, please?

if rosa was unable to provide her baptism certificate or proof of legitimacy maybe she was not able to marry in church

Well thank you for trying.

I'm going to go down the lines of whom I think are the parents and can always start that bit again if I am wrong.
The 'experts' on GR can't find a church wedding but they all agree that Rosa's father was James, a Shoemaker, and William's father was Immanuel, a Labourer................does this tie in with your findings?
Question Author
It does Craft, thanks. Although there are two William Henry Stones born in Battersea within 6 months of each other, my gut feeling is that Immanuel is the right dad due to repeating of various names.
Immanuel Stone and Amelia Matilda Steptoe were married at St John, Battersea, on 16 May 1864.
Question Author
Yes, I found that marriage earlier - which makes me think that William did get married in St john's.
So if you really want to make certain I guess it's shelling out for the certificate :-(
Question Author
Yes I know :(

Unless one day when I am in London I have the time to nip to the Metropolitan archives.
amelia matilda's brother got married at the same time, a double wedding
Question Author
I noticed that too Dotty.

Looks like it may have been repeated when William Henry got married since on the same page in the Civil records an Elizabeth Alice Stone also got hitched.
