There was a man old before his time what with playing 'Grandad' and Jones in Dad's Army he never played a man his real age.

just read that when he was just 19 he was in a play called ''mary rose'' where he played the character of a doddering old man so even all those years ago he was type cast...a sad loss to the acting world...very funny as cpl jones...
I thought he had gone a long time ago.....bless him x
Ian Lavender was the only one younger than Dunn in the main cast evidently.
He chose to play older men - I didn't realise how old he was when he died.
R.I.P Clive and thank you for many hours of laughter .
