Does anyone on AB know of an English speaking solicitor in the Jerez area in Spain? I want to buy a property there and will visit the area soon. I have info on suitable places to buy already. Thanks for any help.

Be very very careful, they have a lot of strange property laws in Spain. For foriegners it's almost impossible to own land, there is no equivalent of the Freehold for example. Should get a good deal though, there's a lot Se Vende.

A good conveyancing solicitor in this country will fix you up with one in Spain.......

Many years ago I worked for a firm of Edinburgh Solicitors one of whom used to deal with Spanish conveyancing so it is possible that you will be able to find a solicitor in the UK who could be able to help you. Why not enquire at the Law Society see if they can recommend someone who could help you
