iphone is being unlocking - what do i do then?

i bought an iphone online and it is at the moment getting unlocked by the seller.

i have the phone here with me though.

it takes 14 days - but what do i do then? on day 14 can i just put my sim in and it will work?

or do i need to do something else?

never had an iphone so know nothing about them.

Why didn't you just ask for it sending and unlock it yourself. Takes about 10 mins at a shop or stall. iPhones use smaller sims than normal phones BTW.

because he can unlock it for free with a 5 minute phone call to 02... saves me paying £15...

this is an old one and uses normal size sims

my iphone 2g takes standard sims's has this changed with later iphones ?
