<PRE>I recently got flashed by a speed camera. I was about half way throught the marker lines. I checked my speed-29mph, but was being overtaken by a scooter. Does the camera know how fast each vehicle was going. I thought they were supposed to flash twice to check speed on two parts of the designated area, but I am almost sure it only flashed once. Any info appreciated. Thanks in advance.</PRE>

The photo will be analysed by the police and the speeds of the vehicles involved are calculated by seeing how many of the white marks on the road are passed in the time period between the two photos being taken. I doubt that there was only one flash. It was undoubtedly the scooter that set it off and if you really were only doing 29mph then you should be fine.
