I got home from work yesterday and Tigger didn't seem her usual self. She was lifeless and didn't want her food. I gave her her insulin as normal but she still seemed down. I gave her some honey as instructed by the vet when she was first diagnosed with diabetes and she perked up a bit. She then went downhill again later on in the evening and I gave her some more honey which helped again and she seemed normal today. Anyway, I took her to the vet earlier and she measured her glucose and the good news is that it was low and that Tigger might be coming out of the diabetes. Apparently its quite common for cats to recover from diabetes.

Just thought I'd share my good news :o)

Everything crossed that Tigger recovers well x
That's good news, tiggs - perhaps she was just having an off day yesterday. Amazing how they CAN recover - our Rover has no sign at all of his earlier kidney failure!

Hi all and thanks,

I didn't know that Wolf, that is so sad. Poor Postdog and poor Charlie. Brings back memories of when I had to have Snoopy put down when he had kidney failure. My heart goes out to Postdog xxx

It is amazing how they recover Boxy. I'm going to pick Tigger up today but the vet said that she isn't completely recovered, however, I can reduce her insulin dose to once a day now.
tigger - I think that Charlie was an older dog but postdog is going to miss him quite a bit. It seems empty in the hose without an animal trying to ambush you for food.
