Well don't we all remember the good times.......there weren't too many of them when I was young...there was a bloomin' war on....Rose coloured specs are a good way to forget the bad...and believe me there were plenty of those...;-)
Yep. It was always sunny and it never rained.
Summers were sunny, winters were snowy and I didn't need glasses of any colour then.

Shurrrrup MT. Some of us positively thrived by living in a cardboard box (minus its lid) on the M25.

And all thirteen of us kids shared one pair of glasses.

She is long gone and never got to be a pensioner , Crafty.
Scarily, she was only eight months older than I am now when she died.
Makes you sick when people like Mrs Chappie flaunt their privileged upbringing. Our cardboard box not only didn't have a lid, it had no sides either.

what about wife beating when the poor victim would insist she bashed into a door and said it so many times that in the end she actually believed it, there were no refuges to run to and the police did not interfere in those days.
