Last night he saw sense and went to hospital.
When I was finally able to visit him today he went for a CT scan, having had an X ray before that revealed swollen gut and the scan was to see if there was anything else going on.
Turns out that the last course of antibiotics may be to blame,as he has C-Diff!!!!!!!
Honestly who the hell have we annoyed? He had the flesh eating bug,I had my seizure, tested positive for MRSA and now this.
He only had the antibiotics to help the wound from the flesh eating bug heal and now this goes and happens.
He was in a lot of pain when I left him and falling asleep,to be woken by a tummy spasm. They have started him on yet more antibiotics and he feels so down about this,it is not fair,he is a wonderful husband and Dad.
Just to top it off,it's his birthday tomorrow.
Happy birthday dear Hubby
Get well soon
And I do not feel like saying I told you so :-(((((

Birthday celebrations on hold,he felt worse today.
The surgeon might operate when he has decided if there is a blockage in the intestine as well as inflammation, but he cannot see much on the X Ray according to a nice nurse who was chatting to me.She was very encouraging saying that as he has not been sick today it is unlikely as he has had oral fluids so fingers crossed.
He was in so much more pain though.
I suppose this is one birthday he wont forget in a hurry :-(((
Thanks for all your thoughts
Aya xx
Oh no, how crappy. He he is better soon and that you are ok. X
How sad he couldn't enjoy his birthday and you both have all this worry. Hope things improve soon for you xx

Update
I am sitting here waiting for the hospital to phone to say he is out of surgery. What surgery I am not sure yet, apart from the surgeon hoped the stoma would be reversible.
This is his worst nightmare.
I know the depression that is going to crush him will be hard to overcome, how do I help him?
Why did this have to happen to him?
Aya
I do hope that he is now in less pain and makes a good recovery from the surgery.
He will soon come to terms with the stoma.
Thinking of you both. I know quite a few people with stomas, including some who have had them reversed. They have all coped well. Take care x

Hubby is awake again-yay!
He is still doped up to the eyeballs, but he is breathing on his own and his Dr is very pleased with his progress.
One of the first things he asked for was an ice lolly cos he is so thirsty now,but coping with water, much to his disgust he is not allowed an ice lolly yet,he is making do with ice.
Yesterday was horrid,I was expecting some tubes but he had loads, and had a machine helping him breath. As expected he didn't remember anything of our visit yesterday, but I think we will. What a way for the kids to remember their first day of collage-which went well despite everything.
I wish I could come and go as I please, but my disability means I cannot even get out of the house on my own,the nurses have as good as said I could go anytime I wanted, but now I have to wait for one of the kids to come home, extra stress on them, poor things.
The Dr called him the most unlucky young man she had ever met(the Dr looked younger than him!)with what went on with the N.F and now this, well things have to get better from now on don't they?
Aya
oh my days, ayabrea. i really do feel for you and the kids. i'm glad he's out of surgery and is recovering and i hope it is all about him improving now. it'll take some time to really recover from the surgery and i hope he deals with the stoma ok too as they do take some work and getting used to. my thoughts are also with you being away from him at this time and i hope you are ok too....we are here anytime for advice, to listen and have a rant if needed. your hubby certainly has been unlucky, so i reckon he's due some good luck now and goes from strength to strength. lots of hugs....lisa x
Just read this thread. Poor husband and poor you. I wish him well for a speedy recovery and send you BOTH my best wishes. x
