Car is under warranty - can MOT be done independently or does it have to be done by the manufacturer (Toyota)?

Independant is fine
Yes , agree with Mccfluff. I wouldn't expect any MOT problems with a relatively new Toyota but if the independent tester does find anything I would have no hesitation in getting any remedial work done under warranty by Toyota. (Obviously doesn't cover tyres / bulbs etc,)
You can also get your Toyoto serviced anywhere that is VAT reg & genuine parts fitted Flip, you have no-need to use the dealership.
