I had a corn removed on my little toe (in January!!) and the callous area around it is still very tender, to the extent that I can't wear a shoe (not funny in this weather).
Has anyone heard of using banana skin or lemon peel to treat this? I have paid a small fortune trying to get it corrected, to no avail.
Alternatively, if you know of a good treatment that has worked, please let me know (not Carnation corn caps).
Thanks.

I've heard of using banana peel to rub on heels with hard skin. The peel contains enzymes which react with the skin to soften and nourish it so it may work for you.

I've just seen your answer. I' m going to try it - the chiropodists/podiatrists charge quite a bit, and it was one of these who caused the problem in the first place by digging at it. Now, 6 months and a lighter wallet later, I'm going to try myself.
Oh, for the the joy of being able to wear shoes again.
