Whilst I do not like to complain about the warmth we have been receiving lately I am slightly miserable. I popped into Boots earlier in the week to show them a patch of itchy/sore inflamed skin that had appeared on my chest and was told it was prickly heat (not something I usually suffer with). I bought some camomile as suggested and went on my way. It has since got much worse and is now covering my entire chest and itches no end. Any suggestions to cool it down and stop the continuous itching....

TIA

A bit late now I know but, very reguar exfolation can help lessen prickly heat a lot, both himself and my dad suffer fom it whenever they go away, both of them scrubbed with them glove things about 4 times a week for a month before they went away last year, dad went to Turkey, no prickly heat til the last day, and it was only minor, himself (and me) went to Thailand and he never got so much as a whiff of it, very unusual for him as he is plagued with it when we go away normally.
I have suffered similarly this year. my doc diagnosed solar urticaria. it can be helped with antihistamines bt you may have to try a few. I get it maonly on neck/chest area and it can vary from a rash to large dark red welts . intensely uncomfortable . But found it to be worse on initial contact with strong sun and skin may gradually dese nsitise . Good luck :)
