Dear AB'ers,

My HP colour printer has "Output bin full" on the display, however the HP website is really unhelpful and google didn't throw any light on what it could be either.... any ideas anyone?

There is normally a small lever that detects the number of sheets of paper in the output bin and stops the printer if there are too many. If it still shows the message when the bin is empty, it could be that this sensor is stuck or faulty. See if there is anything that could answer to this description.

smorodina is correct........there is a flag on top of the output bin to stop printing when the output bin is full, it could be that this is out of position.
.......try to push it back into place, sometimes when it goes up doesn't come back down.......seen it do this many times.
