I changed my hair colour recently and went from a hightlighted blonde to coppery-red with more golden highlights. My hairdresser warned me that the red colour may not last very long and she is right - it hasn't! I'm going to a lunch next week that I do want to look nice for and there is no chance of me getting to my hairdresser this week, and I don't want to try a different hairdresser, so I wondered if just putting a coppery red over all the hair would have the efect I'm looking for? or will it do something dreadful to the highlights? I will phone and ask my h/d tomorrow, but wondered if anyone on here has done this sucessfully?

use a translucent semi permanent like casting remeber the highlights will be very intense so go for a less powerful shade than the one you first pick up one level lighter is a good rule
Can you use a reddish spray for a short-term effect?
It will send the highlights very red.
