i have, on two occasions, written to my local cop-shop (no answer on phone) about drug taking .. and possible drug dealing in a flat in my block.

they have not responded .. not investigated .. nothing.

my opinion of police has gone down.

What a load of cobblers shoota! lol

There's a corner of co op's carpark that is used by the local druggies, who pull up in there (crap) souped up cars, exchange whatever it is they're taking, chill for a while with music blaring, cob all their McD wrappers out of the windows- then leave. This has been going on for as long as ive worked there, which is over 7...

Next time tell them you think you saw a gun being taken in there...that'll soon get them down there, or if that fails say one of thems parked on a yellow line or something equally important
What sort of cake are you having for afters B00.
no cake tony :-(

So I had a coupla penguins instead, and I do mean the biscuit variety, not the flappy black and white birds.

no .. huntingdon. sorry

looks like i'll have to send it to lea green in the next IDT we send.
I sort of presumed cannabis when you mentioned smell, I agree try Crimestoppers.
instead of writing a letter have you tried reporting it on the 121 number?
How do I know it's pot? Because that's the most common drug in my experience that has a distictive smell, often a bit like garlic/onions mixed with normal cigarette smoke, stronger and more garlic/pepper scented if it's 'skunk'.
Just fyi, most pot smokers in my experience are normally reasonable folk who would probably be amenable to being asked if they could keep the noise level down a bit.
why do you write to them, excel? - why don't you just go to the cop shop next time you're passing?
PS also, if you in a block, have you written to the managing agents? I'm sure there will be clauses in your agreements about illegal activities.
Btw, I'm surprised that you've not heard the term 'pot' - where have you been?!
It's also known as Cannabis/Marijuana/Hemp/Hashish/Skunk/Dope etc. these are all names for varieties of the same substance.
It's called weed here.
Or so I've heard :0)
..ah yes, and 'weed' ...and 'puff' (not pronounced the northern way!)
'....who would probably be amenable to being asked if they could keep the noise level down a bit'. Especially if they clock you as the sort that might dob them in to the rozzers.
Grass!
LOL - yes, that too.
If you 'grass' them up to the fuzz because they're cultivating, as they're being led off you'll hear them protesting "But officer - it's a plant!"
Go to the cop shop personally or tell a policeman face to face, I don't think they take as much notice of letters. Do you have a neigbourhood policeman or community officers ? if so tell them .
how do you know they have done nothing or are not planning anything?

you have done your bit - you are not 'part' of anything so why would they keep you informed?

did you think theyd swoop round to your flat and set up a temporary headquarters and involve you in everything, appointing you honorary detective?
no, obviously not.

the reason you dont know what they are doing is because its nothing to do with you - they are the police, not you, and whatever you might 'think' is going on, it is not 'evidence' ... it is your opinion and judgement.
for all you know plain clothes could be hanging round watching, they could have taken an empty flat in the building to monitor - point is they arent going to tell you.

(you are probably correct... but they need more than what 'you reckon')
